Please read and feel free to distribute this guide written with the help and guidance of John Jenkins BMA Wales. We are hoping this document will not only explain the structure and rationale of LMC's and GPC Wales but also tempt practitioners to take an interest and get involved. I thank John Jenkins for his work and am very pleased that it has been published in time for the Centenary of LMC's next year. The pdf file is downloadable from this link and from the documents section. I'd like to dedicate the publication to Dr David Roberts who's wisdom we will miss very much.

17/10/2011 -Dr David Roberts

It is with great sadness that we have to record the death of Dr David Roberts of Teifi Surgery, Llandysul Dr Roberts was Chairman of Dyfed Powys LMC from its formation in 1996 until he stood down in March 2011; he had previously been Chairman of Dyfed LMC. Dr Roberts was a tireless worker on behalf of his colleagues, representing the best interests of patients and the profession in Ceredigion and the wider mid and west Wales. He was a role model to many GPs and much respected by all those who knew him. Dr Roberts was one of the last true gentlemen and he will be much missed.
